You don't need to contribute to try any of this. DWSIM Patreon Edition is a free download, and the supporter extensions can be used and tested without a key. The key lets you save simulations that contain them.

Already supporting DWSIM monthly on Patreon? This is simply the yearly option Patreon doesn't offer, and existing supporters get a discount. Your Patreon patronage is unaffected either way.

What you're paying for

This is a contribution to the development of DWSIM, an open-source process simulator, not the purchase of a commercial product or a licence to proprietary software. DWSIM itself is free and open source, and stays that way.

In return, supporter benefits are unlocked for the duration of your contribution period, exactly as they are for monthly supporters on Patreon. When the period ends, the benefits stop; DWSIM keeps working.
